Wren need Developers who can solve complex business problems, building enterprise level software systems to support the wider business in all sorts of areas covering Customer Services, Manufacturing, Logistics, Retail and the public facing websites.

These particular Developers will join either the Retail or Compliance team. We are looking for applications from a range of Mid-level Developers and Senior Developers.

Skills you will be using will include:

• The most up-to-date versions of PHP / Symfony
• Doctrine ORM
• RabbitMQ
• Elasticsearch
• AWS Auto Scaling

Key challenges for these teams at the moment are:

Building systems to provide the best solutions for retail staff to sell kitchens efficiently and smoothly:

• Building out dashboards for KPI reporting
• Significant API Development
• Integration with iOS Applications
• Generation of order packs for customers eg pulling out plan images, 3D renders, order details

Building systems to ensure kitchens are designed to work in real life with no issues down the line: 

• Guaranteeing kitchen designers are following due process
• Ensuring no clashes with units in kitchen plans Linking manufacturing capabilities to retail to ensure kitchens can be delivered as designed
• Integration with iOS Applications

It goes without saying that, as with most modern companies, IT is the enabler of everything that Wren Kitchens does, but did you know that all of these IT systems are built in-house by the 70 strong development team?

This tech team are led by tech people; Developers who have been there and done it meaning they know what is possible and understand realistic timescales for pieces of work. They work to agile methodologies and the devs get solid documentation, pulled together by dedicated BAs and prioritised by technical PMs.

Wren are now looking to strengthen their in-house development teams by recruiting a number of Software Developers to reinforce the good work that has shaped these teams over the last couple of years and to provide the tech backup for the 1200 jobs that Wren are creating in their upcoming £120million expansion.

The successful PHP Developers will join at an exciting time for Wren Kitchens and will be pivotal in the success of Wren in the coming years. The development team are open, collaborative and genuinely forward thinking, encouraging ideas and input from the most junior of developers and expecting input on architectural decisions from those with more experience.
