As a Trainee Recruiter, you will be joining the rapidly expanding military desk which is carving an incredible reputation in playing a vital role in identifying and attracting highly skilled individuals who have served in the armed forces. Your understanding of the military landscape and the unique challenges faced by veterans will enable you to connect with candidates on a deeper level, ensuring the best possible matches for our clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior recruiters to develop sourcing strategies for military candidates
  • Utilise your knowledge of military roles and specialties to identify potential candidates
  • Conduct screenings and interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit
  • Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the recruitment process
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific hiring needs and preferences
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in our applicant tracking system
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments affecting the military-to-civilian transition
  • Assist in organising and attending recruitment events, job fairs, and veteran-focused initiatives
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience


Requirements:

  • Military background with a strong understanding of military culture, roles, and specialties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by veterans transitioning to civilian careers
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools
  • Prior experience in recruitment or HR is an advantage but not essential
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally for recruitment events
