ABOUT DX:

DX is a well-established provider of a wide-range of delivery services, including parcel freight, secure, courier and logistics services, across the UK and Ireland. We provide a wide range of delivery services to both business and residential addresses across the UK and Ireland, and this particular role will be based within DX Exchange which caters mainly for the legal, financial and public sectors. We have a unique opportunity within the Essex / Harlow area (with travel to various locations across East Anglia, Ipswich, Norwich and more across the UK) for someone with experience as a handyman / maintenance worker / painter and decorator with electrical and carpentry knowledge to help maintain our document exchange sites across the region. Whilst you will be joining a wider team, we are looking for someone who enjoys working alone as you will travel to different DX sites and on occasion be required to stay overnight depending upon your scheduled jobs. You will receive a salary of up to £25,000, a company vehicle for site travel plus paid for hotels (when required). 


WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You will be responsible for ensuring all reactive maintenance tasks are carried out in a professional and efficient manor, ensuring our sites are always fit for purpose. Based in the Essex / Harlow area - your territory will also extend across different parts of the country, covering up to 1,000 Exchange locations so you will need a driving licence and the flexibility to travel with occasional overnight stays too. A few of the duties you will have include repairs and painting, general cleaning, identifying and reporting of any major site repairs needed, inspecting service centres and general maintenance. You will visit a variety of sites so it’s important that you will also be presentable and approachable with good customer service and communication skills. We will provide you with uniform, the tools required to do your job and a DX company vehicle. You’ll need to be happy working alone and have strong time management skills.
